Stopping Smart Spam on Google Ads Landing Pages

Hi. I'm a novice so please don't use acronyms or too much jargon in your response. We've been successfully using Google ads for many years. Over the last 2 months we've notice that our landing page is getting hit with spam inquiries. It's pretty smart spam. It's real names, numbers and emails but they are not done by the individual (I've called them). I can tell the difference between the spam and the real ones because the messages don't match our product offereing. How do I stop this as I'm paying for these clicks on my Google ads.

I’ve seen this issue before and it’s frustrating! One thing you can try is adding a CAPTCHA to your landing page forms to help block automated spam submissions. You can also set up filters to screen for inquiries that don't match your

Captcha helps but depending how it's implemented it can be annoying. If the spam are bots, add a hidden field to your form. If the field is filled in, reject the lead. (Bots see the field and fill it because they are supposed to...make sure to name

the field phone or something like that so the bot attempts to fill it). As for stopping the ads clicks...that's tough

I’d recommend using a platform called

ClickCease.com.

There is a free trial. It helps with click fraud and it’s only $69/month. Agree about the Captcha form.

If you have a WordPress site, and the spam tends to contain certain words, you can add a plugin that prevents these form submissions from completing. That helps me with the sites I build.

I hope this helps you. If you need help in anyway let me know.

First I will say you should filter your targeting with specific keywords

Third review your ad targeting for the right audience

Fourth, monitor the traffic source

Google doesn't charge for these. They can filter out these bots. If someone's doing this manually, then that would be a different case.

I can do it for you for just 50 USD (WordPress Or Custom Coded, doesn't matter to me).

To prevent bots spamming your landing page, you can use Google's Re-Captcha (100,000 interactions per month free..

Hello

Next, we can use "negative keywords" in your Google ads to avoid showing your ad for searches that are not related to your products. This can help reduce unwanted clicks. Also, reviewing and refining your audience targeting can ensure your ads are reaching the right people.

It sounds frustrating to deal with these spam inquiries, especially when you're paying for those clicks. Don’t worry, there are some simple steps we can take to reduce this issue. First, we can add a "CAPTCHA" to your landing page

bot for sure) but some bots programmers are smart enough to avoid these. Captchas like Google's work, but they are a mess both for user experience and kpis. I prefer cloudflare turnstile (they have a good free tier) even if it is a bit tricky to implement code-wise. I normally use a combination of cf turnstile and honeypot fields, and it works and it does for free, and without ruining ux.

About the ads click, idk if you can prevent those in any way. Maybe Google us supposed to. As for the form submissions you can consider solutions like honeypot (hidden/trap) fields, you can check how fast the form was submitted (below 10 seconds is a
